How It Works

Three steps to a very good day

Pre-order online
Pick your campus and reserve a box before that drop's cutoff. At checkout, tell us your student's name and cell number.

We bake fresh
Every cupcake is baked from scratch just before the delivery. Not frozen, not shipped, not sitting in a warehouse.

Drop day hand-off
We text your student the meetup spot, hand them the box personally, then text you a photo of the hand-off. You see the smile for yourself.

Mail-order treats spend 2-5 days in transit and cost $50-$80 delivered. Ours go from our kitchen to your student's hands the same trip.

Babycakes is a family-run Virginia bakery. The person handing your student their box is the person who baked it.

The price on the box is the price you pay. No delivery fee, no service fee, no tip prompt, no surprise checkout math.

At our September drop, we snapped a photo of every hand-off and texted it to the family who ordered. Parents told us it made their whole week, so now it comes with every box.

Good to know

Where exactly is the hand-off?
On campus, at a central, easy-to-reach spot. We pick the exact location closer to drop day and text it to your student (and email you) once that drop's orders close. Exact dates and times are on each drop page.
What about allergens?
Our cupcakes contain wheat, milk, eggs, and soy, and are made in a home kitchen that also processes peanuts and tree nuts. Every box is individually labeled with full ingredient and allergen information.
My school isn't listed. Can you come to us?
We're adding campuses one drop at a time. Join the drop list and you'll be the first to hear when a new campus is added, or email us and tell us where to go next.
Can I order for myself instead of a student?
Absolutely: parents in town for the weekend, locals, students treating themselves. Anyone can order; the hand-off works the same way.
